Q: How old does my child need to be to attend preschool?

A: Your child must have turned 3 before commencing at the preschool.

Q: Do I need to provide food?

A: Yes, you need to bring your own morning tea and lunch (in separate containers) and a drink bottle.  We are a NUT FREE environment and encourage healthy eating habits.

Q: Do I need to provide sheets?

A: Yes, if your child is in the day two group. You will need a set of sheets, a small pillow (optional) and a blanket for cooler weather and a bag to put these in.  The measurements for these is included in the St Thomas Preschool Handbook.

Q: Does my child need to be toilet trained?

A: Yes, your child will need to be fully toilet trained.

Q: What sort of facilities does the Preschool offer?

A: Although the primary structure is heritage listed our facilities are modern with air conditioning/heating, washrooms, fully equipped kitchen, high quality toys and puzzles and an outdoor play area including a sand pit, natural grass, soft fall surfaces, shade and extensive play equipment.

Q: As a parent, will I have to participate in fundraising activities?

A: No, our fees and programme are structured in such a way as to remove the responsibility for fund raising activities from parents.  The daily fee is the only amount you need to pay.

Q: How can I be involved in the Preschool?

A: You could share your special talents, hobbies, join us for excursions or help out at the working bee.

Q: How can I place my child on the waiting list

A: To apply for enrolment, please complete a waiting list application form.  This form can be downloaded or completed online.  A $35 non-refundable fee is payable upon lodgement of an application form.  Lodgement of this form does not guarantee a position.
